tangle

my words are in knots like stomaches and hands and other organs that never touched.

Don't Quote Me on This

What is your goal? To merely be as QUOTABLE as Wilde or Bukowski?
Well, quotability is not hard.

You just need to say something in the best way in the best language with the right amount of wit and double entendre (one meaning to accompany those who merely glance over what you say, another to cater to those who take time to read and consume and meditate on ) with a quality amount of melancholy and a relatable theme.

Easy enough.

Holly, an Ode

Prank calls and prank breakfasts and prank living:
how we laugh when we realize how far we've transcended
and how much control we have over our self care--
as we prepare for a night of bodily disregard and bountiful debauchery.
Also: we should never be work out buddies again.
Also: I can never shake my ability to dissapoint;
I can only try better next time
And we're both still waiting for the dusk
when we paddle off into the setting sun
in a hollowed out caribou.

on ambiguous themes

Ambiguity is more self-conscious than mystery.

Real mystery--revolting veils and black thoughts and malicious truths and falsified affidavits and contrasting technicolors and hidden intent--occurs as naturally as young girls trip down rabbit holes.

With mystery, there's more wonder, less neuroticism. With neuroticism, there's less wonder, more mysteriously thundering thoughts. And with wonder, there is more or less only fixed and fascinated curiosity.

thought itemization: on collaging

1) There are too many magazine cover shoots of miscellaneously attractive men (see: Ryan Reynolds) in the boy’s collage that pretend to posit more themes than personality quizzes in the very teen periodicals he strips from.

2) Why does the self-removed photographer use magazines in collages that try to telecommunicate truth through taxidermied tribes?

3) Sure, Annie Leibovitz’s shoots shame shared facebook photos, but why go to an external to find what he’s had stored on his external (hard drive) the whole time?

4) What then does the creation say to the master? “Rawr” or “Ra ra ah ah ah” or…?

5) Build a bridge with blocks of culture and you’ve built another block of culture (?). Build a bridge with malleable memories and what have you built?

6) All this talk of burning buildings and bridging bitches tires my wheel. Watch, as I roll into the moonset.
